Myths Related To Periods And How To Deal With Them

Menstrual periods related myths are many. From the common to the absurd, we are here to debunk these myths and let you in on the truth regarding periods.

1 – Do not use water, particularly to bathe!

This myth is the commonest. Girls have been told for ages not to shower during periods and particularly not to wash their hair as it can be harmful. This is absolutely not true.

2 – Getting pregnant is not possible:

While it is true that pregnancy is not likely to happen during periods, it is not a sure thing. Ovulation cycles are very different in different women and pregnancy can indeed occur.

3 – Time duration:

Periods can last from 3 to 7 days and thinking that exact 7 days is a must is totally wrong.
