We might have a post or two about teachers down the lane, but this one definitely stands out from the rest. There are times when we see a person and we just know they are perfect for the job they are doing… Miss Sonya Romero is one such teacher whose life can be a source of inspiration to millions all over the globe.
Miss Sonya Romero from Albuquerque, New Mexico is the Good Samaritan we don’t get to hear about too often. Working as a kindergarten teacher in a local elementary school, Miss Romero has transcended herself not just as a foster mom, but also as a humanitarian. She is the kind of woman who actually deserves all the respect in the world.
This video from The Ellen Show brings to light the fact that there still are a lot of good people around. Ellen brought Miss Romero over to her show just so she could make the world hear Sonya’s story. This woman has done so much for her community; her sincere reactions would leave you teary-eyed already. With already a son to take care of, she didn’t refuse to take in a couple of children brought to her by the child protection team. And it’s been over 6 months she has been taking care of them as her own.
Her goodness doesn’t end her. She has been providing for all the students in her school with whatever their needs be. Every single child is fond of their teacher; every other teacher including the principal has only good things to say about this lady. And as they say, all good deeds are rewarded, Miss Romero did get her share in the end. An awesome woman that she is, Sonya has all my heartfelt respect!
