Dogs are one of the most beautiful creatures created by God. Of all the living beings, these creatures possess the purest of hearts. There is a reason that they are considered the most loyal beings as they will serve their masters or their mates till the end of time. Canines know the true meaning of friendship as they stick to you in every thick and thin, a quality that is not present in most of the people today. They are true altruists as they believe in showering all their love on the people or other creatures they live with. There are various ways in which we can laud these wonderful beings but it is time for humans to reciprocate their love to them.
Our world is becoming a haven for selfish humans where we see an everyday surge in hatred and animosity which leads to cruelty. This cruelty has given way to animal abuse and the poor helpless creatures become an easy prey to the cruel human deeds. Some of the careless human actions have caused dogs to meet grave accidents which make them end up losing their limbs or in a devastated state.
Where on one hand, people are not apologetic for their wrong actions, some of the good souls feel that it is their duty to help these mute creatures out of their misery. They go out of their way to help them only to make them believe that not all humans are evil. When such souls get together they restore our faith in humanity and make us believe that humility is not dead. They believe that every living being has an equal right to live and that it is our duty to make it better for them.
Some of these good humans collected in Romania and opened up a special animal hospital with the vision that “Every dog has the right to run — even if his legs don’t work.” The hospital caters to all the stray dogs who are in need. Adăpostul Speranța, a partner of Four Paws International, gives shelter to all the stray dogs for the rest of their lives. Not only do they provide shelter, but they also provide them company and wheels.
Earlier this month, the hospital wrote a post on Facebook, “At Speranța, we insist not to leave any dog behind. [W]e absolutely refuse to end a life that, with proper care, can be a happy one.”
When the staff at the hospital finds any abandoned dog, they take them in. If any of them is disabled, they treat it and even provide them with their specially built carts in order to bring joy to their lives so that they can do everything a dog can do.
The continued, “They run … they enjoy the sun and the grass, sometimes they even race, with their funny wheels.”
Florina Tomescu, president of the organization that runs the hospital, Fundatia Speranta, says, “All the dogs who need this kind of care never have to worry about being on the streets of Bucharest again.”
